PRESCHOOL AND INFANT/TODDLER TEACHERS*

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Related college-level course work preferred
  • EEC Teacher Certificate required
  • 3 years of professional teaching experience preferred
  • Must meet state requirements for education and additional center/school requirements

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR*

Waverley Square Day Care seeks Assistant Director. Will manage our centers’ day-to-day activities and operations as they relate to the social, educational, developmental, and behavioral needs of our English language learners. Develop, implement, oversee, and evaluate curricula for our multilingual programming. Introduce and/or teach new language learner lessons as needed. Provide training to staff in ESL programming and observe teaching to ensure effective delivery of curriculum. Recommend personnel actions for staff, with a focus on ESL instructional needs. Monitor students’ progress, establish performance goals, and provide guidance in resolving issues. Develop appropriate methods of communication with ESL households.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education with ESL concentration or related field plus 12 months of daycare teaching experience. Must have Director II Certification from MA Department of Early Education and Care.

Position based at our 430 Trapelo Road location in Belmont, MA 02478. May also be assigned to work at our 451 Lowell Street location in Lexington, MA 02420
